FAQs

Here's some questions we get asked a lot, and our answers to them. If your question isn't here then drop us a line!

Q. Can we see you play before we book you?

A. YES! Of course you can! We regularly play gigs in venues across the Isle of Wight, and all our public dates go live on OUR FACEBOOK PAGE around a month in advance. Come and say hello!

Q. How much do you cost?

A. There are a lot of variables to any event or function, from the timings required to the booking date. Drop us a booking enquiry with your event date, type, location and as much additional information as you are able to include and we can tailor a quote to your specific needs. To secure any booking we ask for a 50% booking fee, with the balance payable one month prior to your event.

Q. Where are you based and how far will you travel?

A. We're based on the sunny Isle of Wight, however we're happy to travel as far as you need. Do be aware that we'll have to cover our travel costs in our fee, but as a three-piece band we're able to keep our fees reasonable even including travel costs. Drop us a line!

Q. Can you perform an acoustic set in the afternoon / do you offer an acoustic full evening option?

A. YES! We can offer an acoustic solo or duo version of the band as a standalone booking, or as an add-on to a full band booking. Alternatively, we also work with acoustic act POWDERCOAT who are great for this kind of booking.

Q. Can you learn specific songs for our booking eg. First Dance etc?

A. We can happily look at one or two tunes for your booking if they're not in our repertoire already, however we're a three-piece funky rock band and some songs just don't work with our setup. We also tend to perform songs in our own style or arrangement, so if you're looking for a specific version of a song you want to dance to it's often preferable to play it through our PA from an MP3 player.

Q. Can we choose your setlist for the night?

A. In general, no. We strongly advise that you rely on our experience to pick songs from our repertoire as we go along as this enables us to judge the audience's preference at the time. We're happy for you to let us know the kind of songs you prefer from our repertoire list, or to pick some to definitely include (or not!) from that list to give us a starting point.

 

Q. How long do you play for?

A. We usually perform for two hours as a standard function booking, normally we divide this simply into two one hour sets. However, some clients prefer a 30 minute full band 'acoustic' set, and two 45 minute electric sets. We're also happy to play for longer (or shorter!) if required - please drop us a message about add-on costs for this.

Q. Can we use your equipment for background music/speeches/etc?

A. Yes! We can supply appropriate background music to play between and after our sets, or you can pre-load a playlist of your choices onto an MP3 player so you save money on a DJ! 

 

As we don't use radio microphones, any speeches through our PA would have to be delivered from where the band will be set up. However we're happy for you to use our equipment if that works for you. If this isn't possible, we can supply a suitable additional PA for this purpose - please ask for more details!
